TSYS Green
TSYS strives to do business while proactively promoting public interests, with a focus on preserving the natural environment.
In 2008, TSYS founded a sustainability committee, TSYS Green, to focus on reducing its global environmental impact by promoting corporate responsibility among its team members and in the communities where it has a local presence.
In the United States, TSYS recently received Bronze Level membership in the Partnership for a Sustainable Georgia and has applied for the Governor's Energy Challenge. On top of this accomplishment, TSYS was also named among the top 20 percent of publicly held companies throughout the Southeast region for corporate responsibility and sustainability. We were recognized with the highest honor for environmental, social and governance factors and policies in the first annual Southeastern Corporate Sustainability Rankings. TSYS has also received the Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR certification for our corporate campus in Columbus, Georgia. This milestone is a major accomplishment for TSYS because it means our headquarters meets strict energy performance standards set by EPA; uses less energy; is less expensive to operate; and causes fewer greenhouse gas emissions than its peers.
TSYS' printing affiliate, Columbus Productions, earned the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)'s seal of approval for use on printing projects that require paper created from mixed sources. The FSC's chain of custody is an information trail about the path taken by products from the forest, or, in the case of recycled materials, from the reclamation site to the consumer.
Internationally, TSYS is now accredited with the ISO14001 and BH OSAS18001 standards covering Environmental Management Systems and Health & Safety Management Systems for UK offices. This entails a three-year review process, with regular monitoring to ensure environmental and safety targets are achieved.
Through measures large and small, TSYS has committed to doing business in a way that prioritizes not only profits, but also people and the planet.
