In 2008, TSYS initiated operations in Brazil signed its first processing client in the market in 2009 – a leading hypermarket chain and No.1 mass retailer in the food market, Banco Carrefour S.A..
 
TSYS is fully committed to the market and continues to expand its local infrastructure.  It recently announced the opening of a new office in Campinas to complement its existing presence in Sao Paulo city. The Campinas office will support its Brazilian-based operations team and TSYS has also teamed up with IBM to create a data centre locally.
