Our Story in India

In 2006, when TSYS acquired Card Tech Limited (CTL), a global provider of licensed PRIME card management software, we gained a company with a track record in South Asia dating back to the early 1990s. In the same year, TSYS successfully completed one of the largest credit card conversions outside of the United States for India's second largest bank (and its largest private sector bank).

In 2008, TSYS acquired Infonox, building on its merchant acquiring processing solution with a suite of connectivity interfaces to multiple payment devices and new channels of service delivery such as mobile phones, ATMs and bill-pay kiosks. TSYS also added to its 100+ India-based team members in Mumbai and New Dehli with members from Infonox's office in Pune.

In 2009, TSYS expanded our global acquirer-processing footprint into India by teaming up with an India-based leading technology provider to provide one of India's largest public sector banks with an end-to end acquirer-processing solution.

In 2010, Visa developed an Electronic Payment Solution using Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) platform. The solution is designed to provide a payment infrastructure for Aadhaar holders, especially the un-banked and under-banked Aadhaar holders, and uses TSYS, a leading global payment solutions provider, as the biometric authentication technology partner.

Today, TSYS has an established our footprint in the Indian market serving some of the country's highest ranked banks, including multinational banks that operate in India. In addition, TSYS provides its market-leading payment solutions to clients across South Asia including leading banks in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
