DotsConnect Names M. Paul Daffin, Jr. Manager Business-to-Business

Former Consultant Hired to Assist in the Advancement of the Company’s B2B Unit

Columbus, Ga., May 24, 2000 – DotsConnect^SM, a wholly owned TSYS e-payments subsidiary, today named M. Paul Daffin, Jr. as a manager of its business-to-business unit. Daffin is a former principal of Technology Solutions Company (TSC), a global consulting firm that builds and manages e-business solutions.

Daffin’s responsibilities include the strategic business development of the business-to-business product line at DotsConnect. This will include researching the emerging needs and developing of e-payment solutions in the business-to-business e-commerce arena via partnerships, alliances and software development.

Daffin will work with Keith Pierce, who was recently named director of business-to-business for DotsConnect and is a former director of commercial card client services for TSYS. Daffin will also work alongside Marke Dickinson, a former Andersen Consulting strategist, who was also recently named a manager of business-to-business for DotsConnect.

At TSC, Daffin partnered with numerous global and start-up companies to determine enterprise system strategies that delivered end-to-end business solutions. Daffin played an integral part in the development of TSC’s e-procurement practice area strategy, which included market positioning, implementation methodology development, and industry Best Practices model development. Prior to joining TSC, he worked as a logistics engineer with Ryder Dedicated Logistics, where he supported numerous projects providing comprehensive analyses and designs for various logistics scenarios including a nationwide distribution system for a major car parts manufacturer. Daffin also served in the U.S. Air Force as a civil engineering officer, where he was responsible for multiple facilities and readiness programs as well as process reengineering teams.

A graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Daffin earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering. He is also fluent in multiple applications, languages and databases including, PeopleSoft, Commerce One, Databasics, Mainsaver, C++, Pascal, FORTRAN, Structured Query Language, Oracle, dBase IV and Informix.
