Vital Secures Top North American Merchant Services Executive
Tempe, Ariz., July 11, 2002, - Vital Processing Services® (Vital®), a recognized leader in technology-based commerce enabling services, announced recently that Wendy Porter has joined Vital as president of Vital Merchant Services. As president, Ms. Porter will have overall strategic leadership responsibility for Vital Merchant Services, a leading POS equipment management services company and wholly-owned subsidiary of Vital.
An accomplished leader in the North American financial services marketplace, most recently Ms. Porter played an instrumental role in the formation of Moneris Solutions, a joint venture of the Merchant Services Divisions of Bank of Montreal and Royal Bank of Canada. Since Moneris' inception in 2000, she served as executive vice president of the company. Prior to that, Ms. Porter served as senior vice president, North American Merchant Services, for Bank of Montreal, and held other senior level positions at Bank of Montreal since 1986.
