TSYS Announces Senior Management Promotions

Two promoted to Group Executive, Three to Senior Director

Columbus, Ga., May 19, 2003 - TSYS today announced the promotions of five team members to senior management. Chip Bright and Rhonda Perkins have been promoted to group executive, and Tracy Dodson, Clif Harris, and Carrie Staut have been promoted to senior director.

Group Executive:
Barton "Chip" Bright - Legal Department
A five-year veteran, Barton "Chip" Bright manages TSYS' Legal Department. Prior to joining TSYS, Chip was Technology Counsel for Synovus. With more than 20 years in the Information Technology industry, Chip worked as a programmer/analyst with EDS, Equifax and Westcorp Software Systems before becoming a lawyer. After graduating from law school, Chip was in private practice providing legal counsel to various technology companies, including Hitachi America and Westcorp. He has also been Corporate Counsel for SQL Financials (k/n/a, Clarus Corp.), and Asst. General Counsel for Simione Central Holdings, Inc. A University of Georgia graduate with an ABJ and Juris Doctorate, Chip is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, American Bar Association, and the American Corporate Counsel Association. He reports to TSYS President Phil Tomlinson.

Rhonda Perkins - Sears Client Services Division
Rhonda Perkins has been promoted to group executive to lead the TSYS Sears client services division. Perkins has overall responsibility for the account management, technical development and client support for Sears, a TSYS top-ten client. Formerly a senior director, Perkins managed the programming development of the Electronic Funds Transfer and telecommunications platforms from TSYS' Atlanta Development Center. A twelve-year TSYS veteran, Perkins has more than 20 years of card industry experience and has worked extensively with the TS1SM and TS2® platforms. She attended Georgia State University and graduated from the Atlanta Area Technical School's data processing program. She reports to Executive Vice President and CIO Ken Tye.

Senior Director:
Tracy Dodson - Value-added Products & Services Division
An 11-year TSYS veteran, Dodson is responsible for portfolio management and new account acquisitions within the Value-added Products and Services Division. She began her career in the Training Dept and has held positions within the Risk Management and Client Relations Departments. A graduate of Georgia Southwestern University, Dodson previously worked as a recruiter at Andrew College and prior to that in Compensations and Benefits with the Southern Company. She's active in the community serving as a board member with Girl's Inc., Double Churches Elementary School Council and as a Brownie troop leader. Dodson reports to Group Executive Andy Marks.

Clif Harris - Sears Client Services Division
Clif Harris joined TSYS nine years ago and has held numerous technical and management positions among them project leader, project manager, and director. Currently, he is responsible for managing the technical development and support for Sears and the DBC AT&T calling card portfolio. Harris has enjoyed an extensive career in the technical arena having worked for American Software, Computer People, Contel, and Federated Department Stores. A graduate of Devry Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Science, Harris reports to Group Executive Rhonda Perkins.

Carrie Staut - Education Division
Carrie Staut began her career in the Training Department 11 years ago and has enjoyed an extensive career working in various training and management capacities ranging trainer 1 to assistant vice president to director of training and documentation, a position held for the past five years. As senior director, Staut is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the TSYS Training and Development Department.  A graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Staut also attended a Masters program at the State University of New York at Cortland.  A charter member of the Columbus Project Management Institute Chapter, Staut serves on the advisory board for the ABA National Bankcard School. Formerly President of the Muscogee County Humane Society, Staut continues to serve on its board. She reports to Group Executive Betty Waldrep.
