TSYS Ranks Among Best U.S. Corporate Citizens

Columbus, GA, May 1, 2006 - TSYS ranks No. 53 among the nation's "100 Best Corporate Citizens of 2006," appearing for the first time in the annual survey published in April's issue of Business Ethics magazine.

Only four Georgia companies - including TSYS and its parent company, Synovus - were included in the survey.

KLD Research & Analytics Inc., the independent investor-research firm based in Boston, compiled the seventh annual ranking based on its survey of more than 1,100 firms included in the S&P 500, the Russell 1000 and the Domini Social Index. KLD scored the companies in eight categories: shareholder return, community, corporate governance, diversity, employee relations, environmental impact, human rights and products.
