TSYS Makes Payments Resolutions for the New Year

It's not often that you hear about people making New Year's resolutions that involve the payments industry. But there's a first time for everything, and at TSYS we're already thinking about how to make things even better for our customers in 2019.

We recently asked several TSYS leaders about their payments resolutions for 2019. Some plan to spend more time with industry disruptors, while others are resolute about complying with new regulations. Read below to see what TSYS leaders had to say.

2019 Resolutions from our leaders

Gaylon Jowers

"2019 will be about education and learning for me. I plan to spend more time studying emerging technology and how it is impacting our industry, as well as spend more time with thought leaders and the 'out-of-the-box' disruptors who are shaping the payments space."

Gaylon Jowers
SEVP, President, Issuer Solutions

Allen Pettis

"My resolution for 2019 is to spend more time OUT of the office! At client sites, of course."

Allen Pettis
EVP, Chief Customer Officer for Issuer Solutions

Scot Yarbrough

"Our team's resolution is to accelerate the conversion of B2B payments to electronic accounts payable transactions. The benefits of automated payables far outweigh manual processes and paper checks."

Scot Yarbrough
Senior Vice President, TSYS Commercial Services

Kelley Knutson

"We want to ensure compliance with new CFPB regulation while evolving the Netspend business to become a Top-15 debit provider in the United States. Netspend has the capabilities, infrastructure and market experience to provide new DDA/virtual account services and solutions to our existing under/unbanked consumers, as well as to new customers looking for a better end-to-end user experience and value proposition for their daily needs."

Kelley Knutson
President, Netspend

Gail Burgos

"Our office resolves to foster environments where people are comfortable being themselves. Inclusivity is more than words. It takes action and investment of time and people's commitment to make it come true."

Gail Burgos
Senior Diversity and Inclusion Manager

Roman Trebon

"I resolve to drive collaboration and improvement through customer journey mapping. Visualizing the experience through our customers' eyes allows teams to gain a better understanding of pain points and opportunities. These sessions allow teams to address and create consistent experiences across touchpoints to improve the overall experience."

Roman Trebon
Vice President, Client Experience

Alea Brim

"My 2019 resolution is to ensure our clients have product solutions that will support their future needs in this ever-changing industry and that we will continue to be viewed as their trusted partner and advisor."

Alea Brim
VP National Accounts Management
TSYS Merchant Solutions
